The PlayStation 5 (PS5) has officially sold over 40 million units worldwide.
When the PS5 was launched in November 2020, it was the first major gaming release following the pandemic. The PlayStation team faced unprecedented challenges in the lead up to the release of the PS5 and supply chain issues meant during the months following its release, the PS5 was almost impossible to get your hands on.
The PlayStation 5 was launched with the best catalogue of games in PlayStation history. Currently there are more than 2,500 PS5 games available, from innovative indie games to AAA blockbusters, there is something for everyone. The last two months alone have seen the release of Final Fantasy XVI, Diablo IV and Street Fighter 6.
