These included a major revision to the Mature Content Survey, enhancements to traffic data and UTM tracking, and a preview of themed sales and events for easier planning by developers.
Steam Deck experienced a busy year with a significant hardware revision introducing the Steam Deck OLED, which features an improved screen, battery life, and storage capacity. The associated SteamOS update supported HDR and variable refresh rates, among other performance and stability fixes.

In terms of sales and performance, Steam’s seasonal sale events continued to drive significant revenue and gifting, with the platform surpassing 33 million concurrent users for the first time. More than 500 games exceeded $3 million in gross revenue in 2023, a testament to the platform’s growth and the diversity of successful titles.
