Everything You Need To Know About Gorgonzola

Gorgonzola is one of the world’s oldest blue-veined cheeses. Mainly produced in northern Italy, Gorgonzola is a sliceable cheese with a fudgy texture and distinctive look. It has a milder flavour when compared to its other blue-veined counterparts and is exclusively made from cows’ milk.

The versatile cheese is rumoured to be able to convert even the most open non-blue cheese eaters. The cheese is perfect for a cheese board when paired with figs and pear or even drizzled with honey and can also be used in a risotto or pasta dish.

Gorgonzola is available in two varieties – Dolce (also known as sweet gorgonzola) and Piccante (mountain gorgonzola).
